Hi All,

When I am trying to use
endpoint = new java.net.URL("https://...");

I am getting java.net.MalformedURLException: unknown protocol: https

I am using WSAD 5.1 which has WAS 5.0. At the restart of the server,a message comes that DummyClient certificate(with the path of a jks file ) has expired.
Could you tell what might be the problem and how to correct it?

Thanks in advance..!!

Can you make HTTPS connections without the use of certificates?

I did not get it what you are asking?
Do I have to remove the certifate(I don't know where it is!! :-(( ) and check..!!
If I am using http:// then the control is passing to another line.But when using HTTPS:// there is a problem.

If the error message provides the path of a jks file, then that is the certificate. Remove it, and see what happens.

But it seems more likely to me that HTTPS is not configured correctly. Note that the exception says that HTTPS as a protocol is "unknown", not that it fails for some reason.

Which JDK version are you using? Versions prior to 1.4 do not support HTTPS/SSL out of the box (and you can find upgrade instructions here). You may have to enable SSL by doing something like the following:
