I am working in Java/J2EE for around 1.5 year.I want to learn Web Services but don't have any guidence or knowledge about it. Can you please help to start and suggest me a good book for this.
i will be on 7th sky if someone can give a brief idea about it so that i can relate the things more easily.

Hi,

I'm new to them as well, haven't got any books, just looked up stuff on the net.

I use JDeveloper, and found the following quite useful to get me started:

http://www.oracle.com/technology/obe/obe1013jdev/ws/wsandascontrol.htm

Is quite a simple tutorial and gives you some basics to work on.

Hope it is of some use to you, good luck with the learning. I've been on it about a month now, and am slowly getting to grisp with it all

Cheers

Try Kent Tong's book. We found it to be an excellent primer:

No, I'm not being paid to say this.

I just liked his book and think it's well-written.

There are a number of links to introductory articles and other useful information in the Web Services FAQ.
