hello,
I am using web service where the server runs on .NET. The server will generate a WSDL for the client but that would adhere to the rules meant for .NET.I want to know if there is any tool which can create the stub/skeleton in Java for the WSDL coming from a server running on .NET.
Is there any place from where I can read the standards used to create the WSDL for Java.

Thanks in advance.

Which is pretty much the death blow to interoperability. The last thing any human (or tool) wants to figure is how to de-serialize/serialize a .NET ADO DataSet custom or otherwise. The industry has decided to meet in the middle thats what the WSI Basic Profile is about. So you have two options:
  • Implement the new client in .NET.
  • Expose the existing Web service through another interface which is WSI Basic Profile compliant then use any WSDL2Java tool.

Depends on the SOAP stack you intend to use.
BEA Weblogic, IBM Websphere, Oracle Application Server, etc. all have their own versions.
Open Source includes Axis and XFire (Axis is more mature (Axis 2 is in development); XFire is "younger" and focused on exploiting JSE 5 features and Spring-WS seems to be found of it).
