Hello,

I am using registry keys in order to determine if some specified softwares are installed on a machine. Since Apache Axis does not create registry keys, what other means may I employ to learn if Axis is installed on the machine?

Awaiting your response,
Saket

Axis can be installed as a standalone or as a Servlet app.
It can also be embedded into another servlet app.
There is also a C++ version.

A search for axis.jar might give you a clue.

This isn't really Tomcat specific so I'll move it to the web services forum.
You might find more Axis savvy help there.

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
