Hi all,
Right now i am working on a java project, which is based on struts and we are interacting with the mainframes using MQ-series as Middleware and the domain i am working on is Pricing domain. In this application we are facing lots of inconsistencies in data like we are defnining all the attributes required but the mainframe end is receiving some other default data...
in this regard, we are planning to re-engineer the application with java webservices using SOAP, UDDI etc..is it the right idea? I want to know "By re-engineering tat way what are the various advantages and disadvantages"...

I request someone to throw some light on this..

Thanks in advance...

Regards,
Ravi

It sounds like what you really need is not a different mechanism of accessing the back end, but you need to track down why the back end receives and processes different data than what the middleware sends. Redesigning the application, whether using web services or any other technology, can't help with that.
