When I develop a web service e.g., I usually go about creating an interface ( and one implementation

This has been working fine for a while until for some reason I decided I wanted 2 constructors one with a parameter e.g. ServiceImpl(String s) and one w/out.

Since I make a call to that constructor in my ServiceSoapBindingImpl, I'm making a choice between which constructor to use. But I would like that to be an end-user choice. Has anyone any idea how to go about this? Or should it be something to avoid altogether?
Don't get me started about those stupid light bulbs.
