Hi all,

I am new to web services and I am trying the sample example from web page (fibonacci)

I am encountering the following problem:

I have downloaded the axis and placed th downloaded folder in c:\axis_1.4

I am using JDK 1.5 in windows 2000..

My Folder Structure:
D:\fibonacci\src\fibonacci

I have compiled Fibonacci.java and FibonacciImpl.java and generated the class files.

Now, as per the example given, I want to generate the WSDL from Fibonacci Interface. For that I have used the below cmd and I am getting the error message as "Unrecognized option: -o":

Can anyone know the reason for this..? Hopw to reolve it??

And also please suggesy some good books for Web Services for beginners to buy?

It looks like you are not actually giving a value for the classpath. Try:

java -cp %AXISCLASSPATH% org.apache.axis.wsdl.Java2WSDL -o fib.wsdl -l"http://localhost:8080/axis/services/fibonacci" -n urn:fibonacci -p "fibonacci" urn:fibonacci fibonacci.Fibonacci

Some books about developing WS with Java can be found here.
