Still the technology world is divided in computing...

WS is one of the preferred ways to overcome this issue....

Thanks in advance

Web Services is a popular solution for integrating Java and .NET applications. The Web Services Interoperability Technologies (WSIT) project, which is bundled with GlassFish V2 provides a codebase that enables interoperability between Java and .NET using JAX-WS and JAXB as the foundation.

WSIT is not specifically covered in my book (as it is not an official JSR), but all the background in JAX-WS and JAXB that you need to understand WSIT is covered there.

I do not believe that there will be a general convergence between Java and .NET. In fact, I think that have at least 2 platforms is a good thing for developers. The competition keeps the technology improving. However, I believe that integration, via tools such as WSIT, will get easier and easier.
