Hi Mark,

I have not entered the advance Java World in Web Services Area. I am preparing for SCJP 5.0. Thinking about learning advance Java scares me. I have a perception that learning advance Java is not only difficult but impossible if I try to learn it myself. Do you think "SOA Using Java Web Services" will help me to gain an understanding in this area? If not which is the best way to learn it.

Regards
Padma

Yes, it should be fine for beginners. It helps to know some XML and have some basic idea about server side Java (e.g., Servlets). Please see this post.
