Suppose I create a web service that is not for public use and I don't want to publish it (don't want to register it with UDDI registry). Now, how can I consume this service with some known client?
And how good this idea is?

I am assuming you are exposing it via http. For that reason, one way is to use firewall to allow only transactions from specific ip addresses.
Another is by using web service security technologies like user tokens, to identify the user. And if the user will be sending sensitive info like password, then you may need to use https, or encryption. [ August 28, 2007: Message edited by: Jesus Angeles ]
