This week's giveaway is in the Java/Jakarta EE forum. We're giving away four copies of Java EE 8 High Performance and have Romain Manni-Bucau on-line! See We even replaced the Tomcat Java SSL library with native C library but it didn't help that much!
Based on the SSL logs, apparently axis uses shared SSL sessions, but still each SAOP operation takes more than 4 seconds.
Note that I don't specifically create HTTPS/SSL connections in my code. I use the AXIS2 libraries and the Java classes generated from the WSDL file using wsdl2java.
Hi Jim, I am using the same configuration as you are, using a java client SSL/HTTPS connection. When I use HTTPS connection I need to open a browser with a https url "https://localhost:8443/mytest/Services". If I don't I got a null pointer exception. Is there any initialization I need to do in Axis2 or in Tomcat to overcome this? Appreciate any help.
