hi all,
I'm new to J2ME. Presently I'm working with a software company that uses Java in designing enterprise applications. Can any one tell me how J2ME technology can be beneficial to me.

Regards,

Asish , Sun has broadly defined JAVA in three formats / types
(1)J2SE : - STANDARD EDITION
(1)J2EE : - ENTERPRISE EDITION
(1)J2ME : - MICRO EDITION
Your company is working on j2ee. Micro Edition is the area related to device programming ( Embedded Systems ). It is quite different than Business Application development in J2EE.
Micro Edition covers all the devices like smart cards , Palm Pilots ( PDA's ) & whole lot of stuff.
If your orgainzation is going for embedded system with java than you will probably using j2me. You will find a lot of resources on www.java.sun.com
I hope this is helpful to you.
SHAILESH.
