what are your thoughts of jini technology. do you think it will influence the future of networking, do you think its a piece of paper not thought out? tell us what you think. Although I don't have any expirence with jini, from what i have read about it, it sounds to me that it will determine the future of networking and should have more people in the category.

Definitely it is having future. See the person who invented this technology , Bill Joy , who is visionary par excellence . Very few people like him take birth on this earth. It will definitely change the future of networking. Javaspaces & other Java Management services will definitely hold promise. But , the infrastructure can be bottleneck.
You can start from Sun site. You can have a lots of resources on www.jini.org. Another good site will be Bill Venner's www.artima.com. There are manyt other good sites.

Be aware, though, that currently there is no support for JINI in the Connected Limited Device Configuration. A number of people are working on schemes to get some kind of JINI support for Palms and cellphones.

This one time, at bandcamp, I had relations with a tiny ad.
