Hi !
Im pretty new at javaranch and Im pretty new at j2me too, so Ive got some question to be answered and I need your help.
Do I need the WML (Wireless Markup Language) to Markup some things on a Mobile or a Palm etc.?
Can I do this with j2me, too ?
Can I print out some WML from J2ME ?
Do I need something different for that ? (for ex. a servlet)
Thanx for helping me.
Javaranch is a great place !

Hi,
Well I'm new to wireless, too, but I'll throw out my two cents.
You can definitely use WML and WMLScript (if supported) to develop WAP application on mobile phones. Go out to the major player's web sites (Nokia, Ericson (sp?), Phone.com, etc) and see what use can use on what models.
I'm not sure about WML on a Palm though I would expect Palm or someone else has developed something to do this. You can use J2ME (CLDC or MIDP) to generate and parse WML just like you can work with XML in Java.
Hope this helps and isn't too off the mark.
John
