no, what is SOAP? i want to create some simple applications for my handspring visor (palm os), but i am not sure where to start... i want to start with something simple, such as a miles-per-gallon program.

SOAP - Simple Object Access Protocol - essentially a protocol for sending XML encoded messages - remote procedure calls, etc. Since it involves XML parsing, it is a little complex to start with.

really? why would it not support simple doubles with 4 or 5 decimal place accuracy?
