Does float and double have the same special values?
Are these the only values?

POSITIVE_INFINITY
NEGATIVE_INFINITY

You can look it up in your Javadoc.
They both have MAX_VALUE, MIN_VALUE and TYPE in addition to the ones you mentioned.

But the values are per class. In other words DOUBLE.MAX_VALUE != FLOAT.MAX_VALUE and DOUBLE.NAN != FLOAT.NAN.
