If I understand correctly, there is no way to use floating point numbers on a palm device with j2me and cldc. How is it possible to do anything worth while without floats? Is there some way around this or it necessary to use C or C++ for the palm? Thanks very much.
ps. I am using cldc 1.0.2, kvm, palm Vx, palmOS 3.5

That's correct. A lack of a floating point processor on most handhelds makes it impossibile to support as part of the standard API.
Is it possible to do anything without floats? Well, the palm already has thousands of applications (written in C), which don't need floats, so I think Java will be OK there, too.
