Hi,
Everyone is talking about J2ME with MIDP, no body is talking about J2ME with CDC/FP/PP . Actually we're supposed to work on J2ME with CDC (Connected Device Configuration), FP ( Foundation Profile) and PP. I don't know how to use these cdc,fp and pp in J2ME. Can any one mail me or suggest me which is the best site or best book in the above areas i have mentioned. I would like to start something on those topics. So please guide me how to start coding in J2ME with CDC,FP. And tell me where XML fits in this areas? I want in detail explanation of all these things. I'm having good exposure on XML with Java.
regards

I think this link will help you.
this is written by the great friend of javaranch , Mr. Eric Giguere , who is famous for writing the first book on j2me.
I feel you should search more. Discuss in discussion groups & you will get the more code snippets.
Let me know about the more resources found out by you.

hi shailesh,
To run the applications which are written for CDC, FP first we have to install linux and download the CDC,FP. But while trying to download the CDC,FP after entering the username and password one page is coming with the list like
1) Forte for Java, Community Edition
2) Forte for Java, Enterprise Edition
3) Gnome
4) Insight Services
5) Solaris 8
6) StarOffice
7) Sun GridEngine
I'm literally confused with that page. Which of the above one i have to download to run the CDC, FP appliations. I think u're getting my point. Can u please help me in this issue?
