Hello!
I would like to be able to connect my midp to the serial port without much fuss. Does kvm work correctly if I modify some classes of midp adding some classes of j2se (for example java.io.File and so on)?
Is there any quicker way?
Thanks.

my understanding is that javax.comm is excluded from j2me, but you should use javax.microedition.io.Connector (as used to make HttpConnections) but using a different protocol name.
however, serial implementation seems to not be mandatory. have only looked at Palm implementations, but have seen 2 different protocol names used;
"comm" (as used by Sun CLDC, but only implemented in emulator)
"serial" (as implemented by esmertec - www.esmertec.com)
general midp serial comm? not sure. hope that helps a little.
cheers, dan.
