I am currently involved in a independant research study at school. My task is to install a Java Virtual Machine onto a QNX operating system that will be used to run an Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (an unmanned submarine). The reason for this is that the submarine already has a QNX operating system with all the connections hooked up (ie. sonar, altimeter, ect). However, all the code to run the submarine is written in Java (which was the first task in this research study). Unfortunately all of my attempts to install a JVM have been thwarted. Does anyone have any idea what exactly needs to be installed on the Operating System so that I can run my java code? Thank you in advance for any suggestions?

I don't know for certain what is required by a JVM, generally speaking. Is this a J2ME JVM or a J2SE JVM? If the latter case, I can move this to a different forum where you might have better luck. --Mark
