Hi,
For you to use J2ME you first have to identify the type of device you want to work on(cell phone, palm top etc).If U don't have a device You can always download the Palm Emulator from the PalmOS site. But the problem is that U need to get a ROM Image(something like an OS for your device) to get your emulator to work(which can be got only if U get registered with the Palm OS site & have to get it approved etc.which might take sometime ),i.e if you want to deploy your applications in it.U need to install your JDK & your J2ME to get things working,Hope I have answered your question....

Thankyou very much Tony,
I have chosen to use the Nokia Development Suite for J2ME integrated with JBuilder 5 and the nokia mobileset. I first downloaded the J2ME wireless toolkit but what is JDK and its purpose. I haven't installed it and how can I do that.
Also, I tried to compile the 'Helloworld' program using the NDS for J2ME and I keep getting this error message, what can I do please?
Error #:704: Cannot access directory javax\microedition\midlet
Error #:704: Cannot access directory javax\microedition\lcdui
I have a feeling I am doing something wrong .
Thanks!

Hi all,
I thot that while I wait for a response I'd let you know that I actually installed the JDK already which is the J2SE toolkit before downloading the J2ME.
I am ernestly waiting a response for the 2nd part of the question.
thanks
