I have to write programs for the palm os using java. Before I start out with MIDP4Palm I wanted to know the following:
1. Are any MIDP4Palm applications actually running on palm pda's.
2. If yes then do MIDP4Palm applications offer comparable performance and functionality.
3. If the answer is no then which java implementation should I go for if I want to program for the palm os in java.

Three short answers:
1. yes
2. performance: yes (if properly coded), functionality: no
3. wait for PDAP or use SuperWaba
Cheers

SuperWaba is not Java ... I would suggest kAWT
http://kawt.de/
It allows you to port AWt applications to Palm devices and should be quite similar to the much delayed PDAP.
