(j2me) POSE very slow ?!!!?

The same piece of code is running 10-100 times slower in POSE emulator than in other emulators of j2meWTK!!!
Something wrong?
I need help!!!

did you check the Java HQ settings? you can set it to draw fast, etc.

Actually, what I find interesting is that POSE on my computer (Linux/Athlon600MHz/512MB) runs at about the same speed as my Palm VII handhold itself. Considerring Palm VII only has a 16MHz (or 20MHz?) processor, this does not impress me.

The POSE emulator is very close to the reality. In mobile phones the KVM is implemented as hardware, thus it's running faster than in Palm, where it's software.

Do you mean that the emulators intentionally down grade their performance on PCs to match the performance of real devices? Do they have to first probe whether the PC is a 150MHz or a 1.2GHz to determine the down grade factor?

I think that that information is available through the system. Anyway, the applications run in the same (slow, adequate to reality) speed both on slow notebook and on relatively fast desktop.
