Writing voice activated Application for a PDA hand-held Palm

+Pie Number of slices to send: Send
Any ideas I want to write an application that is voice activated for a
Palm (PDA) i.e. to create an application that uses regular voice
communication for a hand-held Palm means if you just speak and the
application will store the words you speak. Lets say if you have an
application for Palm that records the todo list for next two days. The
user manually enters the data on the Palm (PDA), now is there a way
that
instead of manual entry user speaks and it do the same task as manually
doing. Any good books to look into any ideas. But I want to store the
words the user speaks or says. Any tips I know it will be good learning
experience atleast but need you help. And tips what kind of Speach and Voice
software is good to accomplish this also I am thinking of using J2ME
Technology for this Application but don't know where to start from. I am programming in Java for last 3 years but for this
particular application I want to use J2ME. Any good books, links examples and tips.
Thanks for any ideas and tips for starting it.

for speech software and resources relating to palm, you might get better info from one of the Palm newsgroups.
