I would like to check out J2ME by writing some small applications. There are quite a few packages available at Sun under J2ME. Can somebody suggest what I need to download from Sun and/or elsewhere to write for PDA's, java enabled phone etc.?
Thanks,
Tim

You can to make download of Toolkit. http://java.sun.com/products/j2mewtoolkit/
The advantage of Toolkit is that, you make the Application Descriptor, manifest, package your application with more easy.

thank you all for the input, there seems to be a bit more diversity to J2ME than learning some of the other API ... I guess I have a bit more research to do

Be reasonable. You can't destroy everything. Where would you sit? How would you read a tiny ad?
