Hi,
I have written a small application for a Siemens M50 handset, which is downloading some data from a Java servlet via a javax.microedition.io.StreamConnection. The problem I have now is, that I am closing all the input- and outputstream and also the StreamConnection, but the phone is still dialed in. Can you tell me a way how to hang up the phone??

Have had a similar problem with the sl45i.
No solution though.
Just stays connected to the end of the linger time despite the fact I've done the usual
try{
// make connection
}catch(Stuff){
// do stuff
}finally{
// close connection (or not as the case
// seems to be)
}

Closing the connection does not hang up the dial-up. But if your phone is designed to work 2G networks, the vendor MIDP implementation might include non-standard extension APIs to allow you to manipulate the phone in Java programs. So, check the MIDP doc that comes with your phone.

Bit frustrating really.
Why should users pay for a (usually) 2 minute connection if 15 seconds is sufficient.
Ah well, part of the joys of J2ME.
