Hi. I'm not a real Java person so the question is probably naive....
I'd like to know if, using current (or forthcoming) incarnations of Java for mobile phones (j2me? PersonalJava? Javaphone? ...), it is possible to write an application that can handle dialling functions, making CALL-BACK automatic and transparent for a mobile phone user.
Please note that to me CALL-BACK means the old trick to save money on international (voice) calls. In short, the code should perform the following tasks:
1) If user attempts to initiate a voice call, then instead of dialling the number keyed by user, dial a pre-defined number
2) after the first ring, hang up
3) Wait for an incoming call. When this comes, pick up the line and send DTMF tones corresponding to the phone number initially dialled by user.
Does it make sense?
Thanks for any feedback,
