Hi!
In connection with my master thesis I've been given the task to develop a travel expense report application that runs on a PDA (Palm and Pocket PC) The application must be able synchronize data between the PDA and the PC using the craddle. (I'm a newbee to J2ME so take it easy on me
My questions are:
1. What kind of client server solution should I implement, i.e. what kind of Socket class or interface (or other classes) should I use when I want to communicate with the pc through the craddle? Is it possible to implement the client solution in J2ME and the server solution using J2SE?
2. Is it possible to implement an applicaiton that runs on pocket pc and palm both? What must I be aware of if I want the application to be able to run on these platforms without having to implement two kinds of solutions?
3. Is there anyone that have experience with the IBM J9 Virtual Machine? Is it fast? Reliable?
Thanks in advance!
Ole Kristian
