Hi there!
I'm using J2ME (CLDC + MIDP) in my project and I wonder if any of you know about a great tool for modelling GUI? I'm looking for a tool that can model menus (or menu-like boxes), what they contain and how they are connected to each other. For instance: the main-menu in my program has 7 choices and each of them lead to sub-menues(), and so on.
It's so much easier with a modelling tool than drawing boxes and arrows in Words or on a piece of paper...
Cheers,
Ole Kristian

Hi
I have been using JBuilder 8 with Mobile Ket 3.0.1 and it seems to be really great for writing Mobile applications, but I dont seem to use the GUI modeling a lot. I genereally prefer to draw it on paper and then hammer out the code that will cotain all the screen and the navigation between one screen to another screen, without any implementation - atleast that gives me an idea of what the final application will look like.

The other thing to keep in mind is that except for the Canvas(s) that use the Graphics object, the GUI classes are rendered differently depending on the device. In the specification it states that the Devices are responsible for displaying the GUI objects and it's Layout.
So even if you design with a GUI tool, it might not look exactly like you design. Now a GUI tool might automatically generate the code necessary with the Graphics object on a Canvas, and therefore, it would look like what you designed.
Now most of what I wrote is based on my interpretationa dn there might be a tool or way out there that I have no idea about that makes my statements pointless.
