Just from a quick search on Yahoo. It appears that SyncML is for establishing a common language for communications between devices, applications and networks.
Meaning everything can talk to each other. PDA's to Cell Phones, to network servers, etc.
This way the packets that are being sent from device to device is the same and consistent. Also meaning that two different vendors don't have two seperate implementations, making it impossible for those two vendor's products to talk to each other.
Does this help.
Also you duplicated the post. You might want to delete the other one, unless a the Bartender or a Sheriff gets to it first.

Haven't heard of them. Sorry. It tried to do a search at Yahoo, but didn't find anything that looks like what you are looking for. You can try Google and do a search there too.

Yeah, I understand your question, but unfortunately don't know an answer. I can say that it is simply a way to keep your data on your PDA up to date with the data in a database sserver like an Oracle.
This is a big deal with Business applications with users out in the field. They users in the field need the most up to date information. But how do you get the PDA to have the most up to date. That is where the SyncData comes in.
In most cases, however, I believe that a good Servlet returning the data that is needed at the time of need and not having to worry about synching up the data from a Database server to a PDA.
