not a very helpful post, i'm afraid, but since there is no standard method of handling sms in midp 1, i would think each vendor would provide the necessary elements and documentation to enable midlets to handle sms messaging.
as an aside, the new wireless messaging api is pretty interesting and can be integrated with the w-toolkit...it's a pain, but i heard a reference implementation containing the complete set of apis might be coming sometime....

How a jad application is dep.loyed in a real web server and how it is accessed from a mobile device. Is there any other software or hardware requirements?
