Hi !
I have a very basic question.
From what i know all GSM phones are SIM-based. Suppose i make a j2me app which stores data in rms. Now will this data be stored on SIM or actually on the persistent storage of device ?
Regards
Danish

Hi Danish,
In all Nokia MIDP phones, the data is stored in the device's persistent memory (the same place as the MIDlet JAD & JAR are stored), not in the SIM. I'd expect it to be the same with other manufacturers' phones.
In phones which also support a removable memory card (i.e. not the SIM, but e.g. an MMC memory card like in Nokia 3650), the RMS data maybe could be stored there instead of the device's fixed built-in memory. You'd have to check the device specifications or ask on the manufacturer's developer web site like Forum Nokia.
