Doesn't the iPaq ship with Jeode on the supplemental disk? (Mine did.)

Oddness abounds.
Well, there's this thread at Sun's fora. There's also this site that seems to compare VM's for PDAs. Other than that, I can't really seem to easily find resources on where to find implementations.

As far as I knew all iPAQs shipped over the last two years or so were shipped with Jeode on a CD in the box. I'd double-check the CD, but in the event you don't have it, you can either (i) ask HP why you don't, or (ii) buy one from www.handango.com for about USD$50 if memory serves.

Weird... I know older ipaq's came with them, but my 1910 doesn't make mention of anything.
Is it hidden away in a directory on the CD, or can you access it by the autorun menu that appears when you first insert the CD?
My understanding was that the new ones didn't include the JVM, which doesn't make much sense!

It's in the autorun menu thing. I don't recall which one - I'd have to look at home - but it was fairly easy to find under the menus.

Hmmm... Very weird.
Which model ipaq do you have? I bought mine in NYC... so if it's on the new ipaqs, I would assume it's on mine... but like I said, I dont' recall seeing anything about it. I'll have to check when I get home tonight.

Under "Tools" or something like that.

And of course, last night in the process of actually re-installing Jeode on my machine, I forgot to write down which option it was in on the disk's menu. Sorry - I'll try to remember this afternoon.

I recently got a brand new h5455 off of eBay. (Still sealed and everything.) Mostly, I wanted the wi-fi for around my house - I live in a fairly old, freestanding home and have been running a wi-fi network so I can connect a PC upstairs in my study and another in my den with the lone cable jack (and modem) downstairs - but had a need for work for something running PocketPC/Windows Mobile. Otherwise, I probably would have gotten a Palm.
Jeode didn't come installed on the iPaq, mostly because I assume most users of the device aren't going to necessarily go looking to run Java. It was fairly easy to install, and easier to re-install after I had to re-initialize my unit.
