Anyone knows about the Public Review Draft of the Personal Profile 1.1?

Hi there,
I was just reading the information available about Personal Profile version 1.1 for the J2METM Platform (in here http://www.jcp.org/en/jsr/detail?id=216 ). And I came up with this paragraph:
2.11 Please describe the anticipated schedule for the development of this specification.
Community Review Draft: July 2003
Public Review Draft: August 2003
Completion: October 2003
Anyone knows about it?
When do you think it will be widely available?
Is it worth adapting J2SE applications back to Personal Profile 1.0, if pretty soon Swing will be available as well (with PP 1.1)?

Remember that the spec being finalized doesn't mean that the existing field equipment is instantly upgraded... First it takes some months for the vendors to put out compatible models and then it takes a multiple of that for the end users to upgrade.

OK, thanks Lasse.
I wouldn't like to be working on a project that wouldn't take me anywhere; and learning how to do something which wouldn't be that usefull.
When do you, as a developer, think that it'll be possible to be working using PP 1.1?
Also, what do you think about it?

I really don't have an opinion about the PP, 1.0 or 1.1, as I haven't written any applications for that profile. However, they seem to be just what we need in order to be able to do some more exciting stuff for the corporate users.
Regarding the question of when PP 1.1 reaches a critical mass of some sort, I'm afraid I can't answer that in full either. My best guess would be that we're still in the early adopter stage in Q2/2004.

Yes, I completly agree with you in there.

OK, that sounds good. I just didn't know if this kind of "subjects" take three months, or three years (just to say some extremes).
BTW, anybody around here has done anything with PP 1.0 ?
