Salut,
Maybe some of u already are informed that there exist no synch. schemas between Mac OS X (not X, but 10) and P800s. and I have the intention to close the gap, to synch. mail addresses contact names etc. between Mail program (Entourage) and the handy.
I am not sure if j2me is the place to work on. But can anyone advice anything?

Might be hard. I do not know much about the Java runtime on that particular phone. But it has to support phone-PC connections. Neither USB nor bluetooth is supported by the default MIDP (the phone might come with special proprietary APIs, however). For sync apps, the Java runtime on the phone needs access to the native PIM applications (addressbook, calender etc.), which is also non-standard (well, the PDA OP is supposed to provide this).
But on the other hand, P800 supports PersonalJava which allows access to native methods. So, it might be possible.
I think Symbian C++ might be a better choice for you.
