Hey everyone, I'm working with SDR handheld device (PDAs, cell phones) and what I'm basically trying to do for now is just connect a PDA to a server in a secure way. I used SSL and it worked. But I found out there is a more lightwieght version - KSSL. I saw some messages about KSSL but they are all old, I was wondering if anyone knows anything about where to get KSSL, how to make it work with J2ME, etc. I read the paper about KSSL, but there is not much info on how to get the code or APIs (if they exist). If anyone knows anything about it, please reply. Thanks, Alessandro.

Check out the answer in this thread Basically, KSSL is an internal implementation from SUN for HTTPS in MIDP. It never made a public API. JSR 177 was originally designed to provide some sort of standard crypto APIs for MIDP. But the community draft does not seem to include them ... For now, you can use third party APIs discussed in the above thread.
