As Ashik has suggested before, we really need a FAQ page for this forum. That would save all of us from asking and answering the same questions over and over again.
I know JavaRanch has a wiki site. But I am a little worried about wiki's security -- anyone can change the wiki content without a password. I'd like to have a more controlled approach. So, I think I can host a "Java Ranch J2ME Tech Tips" section on my own web site. What do you guys think? I have some sample tips there already:
http://www.enterprisej2me.com/resources.php
I appreciate any commnets. If you want to help out, please post your favorite java ranch j2me threads below! Thanks

I think that's a great idea Michael.
How will you organize it? I mean, will you have for example CDC and CLDC sections? or any other kind of sections?
Should we point to what questions we thinkg should be included (I mean from the already existing threads)? Or should we contribute with our own question/answer posts?

Yes, I think there will be sections. They can be divided along technologies lines like you suggested or along usage lines such as "UI" and "network" etc. But we can worry about that after we get a number of tips.

Links to existing threads would be great. But if you see something that has not been addressed, feel free to start your own thread. You can start your subject line with "Tip: ..." to make it more clear (and easier for me to find.
Thanks a lot!
cheers
Michael

OK Michael, I will look for the threads I'd like to be included. And think of any other questions I've kind of answered myself through my project.
Should be giving some feedback in a couple of days (after my Project meeting on Wednesday)
Thanks!

you might want to add this link:
http://www.jroller.com/page/shareme/J2MEEmulators
Sun is already including in their Emulator articles at wireless.java.sun.com
Its the most complete list of sdks and emulators for J2ME..more complete than Sun's own list, Bill Day's , and etc..

Ben:
Hmm, UBB does not support sticky threads. Maybe we can put up a text link at the top of the forum home page. I will ask other moderators/sheriffs how to do this. Thanks for the suggestion.
Fred:
I added you emulator collection. Thanks!

The "sticky" link to the tech tips is now running at the top of the topic listing page!
