For network printers, you can open a socket connection directly from the MIDlet to the printer and send print commands through the network. The "print commands" can be either in the PCL or PostScript language, depending on your printer.
For most PCL printers (HP models), if you just send text through the socket, it will print plain text.
I am not aware of generic printing toolkits under MIDP. Does anyone know?
