Hi Guys
Does a MIDLet written on MIDP2.0 and CLDC1.0, run on Palm, Windows CE and Symbian systems?
If yes, does the VM come pre-installed on these systems or does it have to be installed by the user for using java apps?
By the way, I wanted to know which is the most portable method of writing apps for mobile devices.
Thanx in advance
Harshdeep

Hi Hardeep,
As far as I know, J2ME portability is very similar to J2SE portability. It's supposed to work, and it does, mostly. But the only way to know for sure is to test it out on real live devices.
As for versions of the JVM and whatnot, I'd look on the web and see what the manufacturers say. MicroJava is a useful site as well.
