Looking at the URL's, I can't help but wonder if JavaRanch is built on Java technology. I don't see any of the URL's ending with *.jsp. In fact, looking at this forums URL, it seems to be running on cgi.

The forums are from info-pop and are written in Perl. We are currently working on customizing a Java based forum but we have no completion date. The problem is that there is no open source or even low cost forum software written in Java that provides the level of functionality we need.

I should add that all the other pages of JavaRanch other than the forum are built using servlets and JSPs.

Imagine... JavaRanch forum written and maintained by the members. Would that be cool or what?
