Hello everybody,
I am developping a application/J2ME on mobile. my midlet downloads a midi file for example from my server. The mobili's OS is Symbian.
Could you tell me if it is possible to change the mobile's ringtone by my downloaded file midi from my midlet.
Else :
does it exist a another music's format to be possible ?
Could I use Kni to do it ?

No, you cannot. MIDP does not provide access to the native OS at that level right now but future optional packages might do more. No, you cannot use kni, it is reserved for J2ME runtime developers in device manufacturers not for application developers.

Thank you for your reply Michael.
Is it possible to be "J2ME runtime developers in device manufacturers" or I prefer create a business relationship with device manufacturers to manipulate ringtone folder?
Thank you
