There is a growing amount of information on the web discussing how the OTA provisionig process works. Unfortuantely I have not been able to come up with any information regarding a critical aspect of this process. Most distribution channels (ie. Handango.com, Nextel's iDEN Update, etc...) send customers a text message with a link to a jar/jad after they purchase a J2ME product. Does anyone have any information on how this process works?
The following e-mail addresses are used for text messaging specific carriers
SprintPCS - 7035551212@messaging.sprintpcs.com
Nextel - 7035551212@messaging.nextel.com
Verizon - 7035551212@vtext.com
Qwest Wireless - 7035551212@qwestp.com
AT&T Wireless -7035551212@mobile.att.net
T-Mobile - 703551212@t-mobile.com
Cingular 7035551212@mobile.mycingular.com
I am assuming the purchase notifications w/ product links are sent to one of these e-mail addresses based on the information provided by the customer. Does anyone have an example of what the content of this message would be to have a link appear? Does this content differ from carrier to carrier or phone to phone? Does the content have to be WML or should it be straight text? Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Greg
