Hello,
I'm a Palm OS developer (to a point anyway ;-) and I've developed some software that I need to have developed in J2ME. I don't really have the time to get up to speed Is there anyone on the list that is in or around Boston that might be interested in some development work?
Sorry if I shouldn't ask - I didn't see anywhere on the site where I couldn't.
Thanks!
Phillip

Phillip,
May I ask you to edit your display name to be compliant with our naming policy?
Thanks, welcome to the JavaRanch, and I hope you find the help you're looking for

Hi Phillip -
I've only written a couple of J2ME apps (for family, etc.) but I'm sure these questions are on most people's minds:
What type of programs do you need? Maybe an example of your original program could help.
How much does it pay?
Do you mind someone working from another state, but sending you updates as the work is finished?
Thanks for the information!
Larry

Hello,
A fair question. Pay is negotiable along the lines of the going rate depending on experience.
Regarding the application and seeing the Palm app. I'm happy to share it with anyone who is seriously interested as long as they are (a) physically in the US, and (b) are willing to sign an NDA.
I can probably work with someone outside of the New England area, but I'm thinking that it really is the "technology belt" so there should be someone around here somewhere that can program j2!
best,
Phillip
PS I'm more interested in someone who has J2 experience and can pick up some of the differences between j2ee and j2me.

Hi,
Like Larry, I am also interested in getting my hands on some J2ME development. I have developed a couple of apps and am also preparing for the SCMAD exam.
If you could let me (and others interested) about the expected duration of the project and further details for contact, it would be helpful. I am in the NY area.
