Dear Michael, Fernando, and everyone,
I asked you some questions about the Linux PDA emulator, and then halted the threse. now I've got to faces the question again.
I am going to develop a graphical application for PDA by Java, and very interested in using a Linux PDA emulator. I've tried some emulators. Unfortunately, they can not run on RedHat Linux 9.
Would you please recommend an emulator that can: 1. run on RedHat Linux, and 2. support grahpical libraries of Java.
Thank you very much for your attention.

Regards,
Paul

VMWare is a x86 virtual machine that allows you to install "host" OS. For example, you can install Windows on top of Linux or vice versa:

WINE is a WIN32 API compatibility layer on top of Linux and XWindows. It runs *some* windows applications OK including MS Office. But I do not think device emulators would run on top WINE as they normally goes closer to the hardware than Win32.

I think Palm has an emulator for Linux? If you consider Symbian PDAs (e.g., Nokia Series 60 and 90), I believe the Nokia Developer Suit also runs on Linux. But I think both Palm and Symbian only support the MIDP at this time.
