I've been looking at Symbian application development lately (seems to have some "pull" nowadays) and just did a quick search for suitable IDEs. Is it really true that there are no free IDEs specialized in Symbian development? Even the "Personal Edition" of Metrowerks CodeWarrior costs $400 and Borland's equivalent is only available for a trial...
I guess I could just stick to a "regular" C++ IDE (or even a text editor) and the command-line tools. Sigh.

I am afraid it is the case -- unless someone comes up with a Symbian C++ plugin for Eclipse. Another one many people use for Symbian development is Visual C++.

Ok. Good to know. I guess I could also tweak VS.NET for Symbian development... (I've heard it can be done somehow)
