I trying to get information about the structure both physical and software for wireless networking. Dose J2ME use TCP/IP etc. How many sockets are available?

Im in bit of a hurry...
Thanks!

Actual implementation depends on the device, but the short answer is yes, j2me supports tcp/ip, through a HttpConnection object. Take a gander at this GCF (Generic Connection Framework) tutorial:

J2ME itself is platform independent software. The exact hardware used is dependent on the specific device it is deployed on. This can differ significantly between devices. I'm not sure how much hardware information is available from the manufacturing companies. They tend to keep a lot of the details secret to keep out the competition.
