Can you define msn client? Is it just a web page or something. If so why not just use an HttpConnection.

call

HttpConnection conn = (HttpConnection)Connector.open("http://www.WebsiteAddressHere.com");

I would probably try to search for the protocol specification and go from there. Try to find an open source IM software that integrates with MSN and see whether you could reuse some of the code.

By MSN I mean MSN messenger by Microsoft. A simple HttpConnection wont do the trick. I need more, such as Lasses idea. I need to know how MSN works, response code etc etc. An opensource client for any OS would be a helpfull.

If you can read C/C++, these two IM applications are open source and claim to support MSN:
Gaim
Miranda
