Hi Ranchers,
I am sending my issue again with some precise view.
I have developed an application for Mobile Banking. We have purchased a large account from Telco. i.e. '722'.
Now, what issue I am having is that when I send SMS from my Application to the large account i.e. '722' it doesnt sends the message. But if I send it to any other 11 digit Mobile Number it is sending message successfully.
Please help me out. I am in very tension since I have to deploy it in a day or two.

Thanks,
Regards,
Ali Hassaan,

What did the Telco say when you asked them why the message is not being sent? Or is it being blocked by the phone?

They said they dont have any restriction of such kind. Message must be sent.
It is creating very ambiguities.
Kindly, give me any way out.

Thanks

I've worked with mobile operators on and off for two years now. If they say "our system is working just fine", you simply don't believe them... I would ask for logs for all messages sent to your short number and see for myself whether they're sending everything forward as supposed to (and where).

Have you tried sending SMS to that no using your own mobile i.e. manual process...

If so and it still fails -> your telco is definitely the problem -> request them to verify the no. -> they should push an SMS from that no to your own mobile then you can see if the no is padded or altered...

That number is working very fine with my mobile.
Actually, firstly we launch SMS Mobile Banking in which customer needs to send SMS via their Mobile on '722'.
Now for easing life of customers we have developed J2ME application which will be installed on their Mobile Phones. Problem is going on with J2ME Application.
Is there a possibility that J2ME have such kind of restriction.

I don't think the problem is with J2ME - have you tried on a different MIDP2 platform - maybe that specific platform has a firmware bug... You should try to locate the point of failure i.e. where in the stack the problem lies -> the application? the transport layer? the AMS? the digital layer? the security layer? etc. Try to isolate the problem by eliminating the layers that work - for each one you can do specific tests - start with the most obvious first i.e. if your PC does not start up when press the power button, check the wall socket...
