I would be interested in installing midlets automatically in J2ME. The normal way is to do it with OTA by selecting an appropriate link. I'm thinking to have a kind of an agent in a J2ME device which triggers new applications according to some filters. Once a new application is found the agent downloads it with OTA or maybe Bluetooth and store it locally.
Am I now able to start the midlet with the PushRegistry mechanism? I see from the documentation that the PushRegistry takes some connections like following

MIDlet-Push-1: socket://:79, com.sun.example.SampleChat, *

socket and datagram are supported,
how can I push a local connection?

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
