i m using MSI bluetooth transceiving key (USB) on PC to receive bluetooth signal.
my problem is how to create a server that can receive message from a client(nokia 6600).
is it necessary that the server must be develop using J2ME so the communication is confine to fones and pdas only? or it can be done in j2se...a j2se application running in a desktop and working as a bt server using win2k as the OS? help me please.

I would start by checking what the USB Bluetooth adapter vendor's documentation has to say about developing applications using their product.
How about trying to use "javabluetooth", bluetooth stack on sourceforge.net Try this out first, if its possible.. im gonna try using javabluetooth.. tell you what happens..
or maybe u can use the Bluetooth API's in Microsoft Platfrom SDK? I think it uses Microsoft drivers instead of drivers that came with the dongle..
But you'll have to program the server using Visual C++.. you have to download the Microsoft Platfrom SDK from Microsoft, its free.. It has a documentation already and sample code.. Haven't tried this yet, but it might work.. and i don't know but i think this only works for WinXP (SP1).. [ July 02, 2004: Message edited by: Anthony Yulo ]
